Thank you. Yes, the contemporaneous film is very helpful in that regard. It is interesting to note how dry and dusty the area around Ypres was during the early phase of the Third Battle of Ypres too, as another example that defies the usual view of WW1 battles.

The Litko markers provide an excellent range, which includes smoke screens, suppression markers, persistent gas markers, etc - all of which add colour and interest to the battlefield. Litko are very good at creating custom makers too. They made a whole Crossfire range of markers for me.
