Hey all, 

I finished my Yorkists today and wanted to share them with you. I'll spare you the handgunners, dismounted knights, stiffened English billmen and longbowmen, as you've already seen plenty of those when I previously posted my army of Henry Tudor. I'll just show you what's different in this one:

Here's Edward, Duke of York after declaring himself King of England (and therefore wearing the royal colors), with his herald and bodyguard (the three knights in the back were purchased pre-painted. I did the rest):

They look very good. The basing looks much improved. Another tip is to paint flag edges to match the border colours. It really does round a base out. Looking forward to an AAR on your battle(s). Incidentally, Mike, which rules are you thinking of using? I'm about to give To The Strongest a WOR outing.

Thanks, man. Much appreciated. I have to say, I always get a thrill when I know people in the UK are gaming the American Civil War, because it's cool to think of foreign nationals taking an interest in our history. I hope you guys feel some of the same gratification having an American gaming the Wars of the Roses and the ECW.

I'm currently using DBA 3.0 for Biblical all the way to high medieval (I also play Commands and Colors: Ancients). Post high medieval, I use DBA-RRR. I like fast-play, easy to learn rules that have enough tactical depth to satisfy, and that can be scaled up to larger battles as appropriate. The holy grail of me are Star Wars: X-Wing and Star Wars: Armada. I consider those to be the best rules ever.
